Who Are You?

You can know a person for years without really knowing them. There could be a person, wether it's a sister, brother, best friend, boyfriend, or any other title a person could have in your life who you believe you know down to the core of their being. You may see them every day or every week and you and this person get along great and tell secrets to each other. Then in some relationships their comes a time where one person, or both peoples, realize a characteristic that is strong in that person that you didn't quite notice before. Sometimes its brought on by something happening in your life or the other persons life. For a best friend it could be a new boyfriend, new fiends, or new family situations. For boyfriends it maybe an argument, something mean they said to you, a rumor you heard, or going "the next step in your relationship." Or with family it maybe just that your growing as a person and they're growing as people, and you learn new things about each other that you've never known your whole life.
Whatever and whoever it maybe its always a hard thing to accept that a person you've loved and cared for isn't quite who you thought they were. Some relationships end, but other people are determined to keep the relationship alive and work through it, talk, adjust. While some people never experience this in a relationship and continue having a fabulous one

Woman In an Ice Cream Shop

On Mothers Day I went to Kelly Park with my mom, aunt, and grandma, to go look at a small exhibit on World War 2. We walked through the exhibit and I loved talking to my grandma about things that she experienced during the time of the war. I learned a lot of new things that I had never known my grandma had gone through.
After we were done walking through the exhibit and talking we went to get ice cream at a small shop in the park. After we had ordered a woman asked "can you pleas had me some napkins, thank you." I grabbed the napkins, looked down to hand them to her and saw and older woman maybe in her 60's in an electric wheelchair with a neck brace on. My family and I went to sit and eat the ice cream and when all of the large groups of people left I realized that that woman come there alone. I could see her sitting across the room staring off into space. I looked at her for a while and noticed that she had the kind of brace you get when you sprain or break your wrist, and she had one for each wrist. She just sat their for while after finishing her ice cream thinking, staring off into space.
Seeing her made me sad at first to think that an old woman in an electric wheelchair with braces on each wrist and one for her neck was sitting in an ice cream parlor alone on mothers day. As I thought about her more I decided that I admired her independence and determination. To be honest if i was her physical situation I would have sat at home, sulked, and done nothing. But this on woman, who I knew nothing about and said maybe two words to has such incredible strength and will to rise above self- pity and continue enjoying her life no matter what her circumstances are.

Poetry slam

I'm really excited about going to the poetry slam this year. I went last year just because i didn't really have anything els to do and it was really cool. I think the best performances were the ones where people didnt just stand on the stage and read their peom off of a paper but instead they got up and gave a performance. I thought that one poem that that one guy read "there once was a cat.. who got hit by a bat... the end" was funny, but i can't help but ask how he got on the stage. Was there another person who couldn't go up because he went?

dance

The dance was very fun! I didn't really want to go but once I got there and saw everyone I was very happy I went! I think this was the most fun dance this year. The others were fun too but it was just nice to not have to wear a dress. ITs fun to get dressed up but I guess im just more comfortable in normal cloths.

French Projects

I think that out of all of the teachers I have had at Gunderson, my french techer give me the most projects that I have to present in front of the class. All of the information that I need to put on to my poster is usualy pretty easy to find and usualy easy to translate into french. I really dont like persenting it though. She makes me feel so nervouse. Sometimes, when shes in a good mood she will sit back and let you do your presentation while making a few corrections, but other times when shes in bad moods, she'll start asking you questions. Every question that she asks she asks in french and all of your answers have to be in french, as if that wasn't hard enough, sometimes I dont even know the answer to the question because it wasnt one of the things we were required to know! Oh well, at least its a good amont of points that I usualy get B's on and it helps me feel more comfortable giving presentations infront of the class.

Memories!

For some reason this past 2 months is just a walk down memory lane! I'm loving it! All of the movies or T.V. shows that I watched repedidly keep on coming up in conversation. I even found some old VHS recordings of some of my favorites. I was so frustrated though because some of the movies my sister and I watched we rented from the video store pretty much every week so we dont own them and I cant watch them. The only place I can find really old movies that I cant find anywhere els is netflix, but I dont have a netflix account and dont really want one. Darn it! Well at least there are some of the best ones on you tube! I would redomend watching Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumber Land, The princess and the Goblin, or Troll in Central Park.

I completely forgot

I completely forgot about blogging all last week! I dont know why this keeps happening to me! I think that I'm going to start just doing all of my blogs on Mondays that way I wont even have to worry about them during the week. dont you just hate it when you forget things? Its seems like its happening more frequently to me. Is it like that for anyone els right now?
